Green Living: The Little Things

In addition to the energy-conserving measures listed on other pages of this site, our communities also include several other elements to reduce our impact on the environment.

For example, lighting in public areas is automatically dimmed during periods of intense sunlight, and automated shades allow the use and control of passive solar heating. All of the kitchens feature Energy-Star appliances. And to help fight green house gasses and reduce the strain on our forest, both bamboo and cork floors are used throughout all Centurion Communities.

To ensure high level of indoor air quality, the paint, flooring, adhesives, and wood materials are all low-emission products, and all of the HVAC systems have increased ventilation and feature electrostatic filtering systems.
